Aid organizations are warning of a hunger catastrophe in Sudan as a result of the conflict there, which they describe as a forgotten war. Much of the world’s attention has been elsewhere – on Russia’s fighting in Ukraine and the recent war between Israel and Hamas.

How can this possibly be true when the militia is ethnically cleansing large sections of Western Sudan, when they are razing entire villages to the ground, when they are systematically raping women and girls, when they are trading women in slave markets, when they are wholesale looting any city they enter, when they are occupying civilian homes and infrastructure. Make no mistake this is a war on Sudanese people and their State by a savage genocidal militia.
