When asked by Sky News if Labour would be ready for an early election, shadow attorney general Emily Thornberry answered saying the whole country’s response would be “bring it on”. Chancellor Jeremy Hunt fuelled general election speculation, and the prospect of tax cuts, by announcing an early spring budget. Ms Thornberry also discussed international fraud gangs and the situation in the Middle East.
