As thousands of Israelis continued their 24-hour protest in Tel Aviv on Sunday calling for the release of the 132 hostages being held in Gaza by Hamas militants, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is “under a lot of pressure, not only to achieve the military objectives but also to bring home the [132] hostages”, reports ABC News correspondant Jordana Miller from Jerusalem. “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while he still has wide public support for this war [with Hamas], this is a significant marker at 100 days and [..] coming on the heels of those hearings that were held in the Hague this week. Netanyahu is basically telling the public that he is not going to give into any international pressure to come out of the Gaza Strip, pull troops out and end this oepration before it has really been able to achieve its objectives”, the most important of which is to dimantle Hamas’s military infrastructure, says Miller.
