Pressure mounts on Israeli government over Gaza war | DW News

The government of Benjamin Netanyahu faces mounting pressure within Israel because of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, and the increasingly dire humanitarian situation there. Thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv this weekend to protest against the country’s leadership. They demanded new elections. It’s now more than three months since the Israeli government launched a war in Gaza after the unprecedented October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas. Hamas is classified as a terrorist organization by multiple countries.
