After the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel must prevent “possible acts of genocide” in its war against Hamas, thousands of civilians remain trapped in Gaza. The Hamas-run health ministry says at least 26,000 Palestinians have been killed. Many of those who have survived are caught between aerial bombardments and street fighting.
