Shadow minister Sir Chris Bryant says that Labour’s £28bn green pledge has now become an “ambitious commitment” for a future Labour government. Sir Chris says that the previous green pledge would be enacted “as soon as we possibly can”, but that a government cannot “spray money about everywhere” without harming the economy.
