Shadow minister without portfolio, Nick Thomas-Symonds MP, says that he accepts the apology of Labour’s candidate for Rochdale – Councillor Azhar Ali. Cllr Ali says that he “fell for an online conspiracy” that led to his previous remarks that the 7 October attacks in Israel had been organised by the Israeli government.
