During PMQs, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer asked Rishi Sunak if he backed Liz Truss in calling on the Tories to welcome Nigel Farage back. The prime minister replied saying his party had a “proud tradition of diversity” and a record that “puts Labour to shame”. He said the Conservatives delivered the “first Jewish PM, female PM, Muslim home secretary” and are “now led by the first British-Asian prime minister”.
