Chief executive of the Parliamentary & Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO), Rebecca Hilsenrath, told Sky News “it’s critical that compensation is paid to the women affected” by the change in state pension age. It comes after an investigation by the PHSO which found that thousands of women may have been adversely impacted by the government’s failure to adequately inform them of the change.
