Bassirou Diomaye Faye was the 'most radical of all the candidates going into this election'

Senegal’s anti-establishment Bassirou Diomaye Faye “was certainly the most radical of all the candidates going into this election”, said FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Dakar, Senegal Sam Bradpiece. “One of his flagship policies involved withdrawing Senegal from the CFA Franc [ . . .] the currency used throughout West Africa- it’s colonial-era currency”.
