It has been one year since US journalist Evan Gershkovich was detained in Moscow after he was dragged out of a restaurant by Russian security forces.
The 32-year-old Wall Street Journal reporter is the first foreign journalist to be held on espionage charges since the Cold War and if found guilty he could face up to 20 years in jail.
His friends say he is “staying strong, still funny, still himself” while his mum says she is “proud” of him.
Russia has produced no evidence in support of its claim and both Gershkovich and the US have denied the allegations.
