India’s Supreme Court has refused to stay the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act or CAA. The act allows minorities – apart from Muslims – who entered India before 2015 to apply for citizenship. A raft of petitions had asked for a stay on the rollout of what many see as a discriminatory act against Muslims. Smita Sharma has the report.
