Heavy rains and flash floods battered the UAE as planes at the Dubai International Airport struggled to take off.
Record rainfall for the UAE of 254mm fell on April 16 in less than 24 hours, according to the UAE’s National Center of Meteorology.
Dubai’s airports have asked passengers not to travel unless absolutely necessary, due to the unprecedented weather conditions.
