Foreign Secretary David Cameron says Israel will retaliate against Iran following strikes on the country over the weekend.
"It’s clear the Israelis are making a decision to act," he said.
"We hope they do so in a way that does as little to escalate this as possible."
Lord Cameron spoke from Israel, where he met with president Isaac Herzog.
He said he wanted G7 countries to launch coordinated sanctions against Iran.
Iran retaliated after Israel bombed their consulate in Damascus, killing senior Iranian military figures.
