Scotland’s embattled First Minister, Humza Yousaf, has told Sky News he will not resign from his position, despite the prospect of a no-confidence motion next week.
Pressure has been building on the SNP leader after he tore up a power-sharing deal with the Scottish Greens – prompting the Scottish Conservatives to announce their intention to lodge a vote of no-confidence in him, claiming he had "failed" in his role.
However, in an interview with Sky’s Scotland correspondent, Connor Gillies, Mr Yousaf maintained that he "absolutely" intends to fight the motion, adding: "I have every intention of winning that vote."
