Olympic flame departs for France on the Belem • FRANCE 24 English

The Olympic flame on Saturday (April 27) began its journey to France on board the Belem leaving the Greek port of Piraeus. The 19th-century three-masted barque is set to reach Marseille, where a Greek colony was founded in around 600 BCE, on May 8. Nathalie Savaricas, FRANCE 24 correspondent in Greece, brings us the latest from the ground.
