Pro-Israel and pro-Palestine protesters cross paths in London

Several thousand protesters gathered in central London on Saturday to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, as the war with Israel nears its seventh month. Protesters chanted ‘free Palestine’ and ‘ceasefire now’ while marching from Parliament Square to Hyde Park. A number of people held banners calling on the international community to end its supply of arms to Israel. At one point close to Pall Mall, demonstrators filed past a static pro-Israel demonstration attended by up to 200 people
