Thousands protest in Malmö against Israel taking part in Eurovision

Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered in Malmö, where the Eurovision song contest is being held, to protest against Israel’s participation in the competition. A large crowd gathered in Malmö’s central square Stortorget, about 7km from the competition venue, waving Palestinian flags. More than 100,000 visitors descended on the southern Swedish city for the annual competition, which is taking place amid protests and boycotts over the Israeli military in Gaza
