Voters across Europe are heading to the polls, with nearly two million additional teenagers eligible to cast their ballot for the first time.
Changes to the law in some EU countries mean 16 and 17 year olds in Belgium, Germany, Austria, Greece and Malta are able to take part.
In the 2019 European elections, young people turned out in record numbers, their votes going overwhelmingly to green parties.
This time opinion polls suggest the far right will make significant gains – helped by unprecedented support from younger voters.
