How migration can be a positive part of EU election conversation | DW News

On Lampedusa, the bodies of several migrants who died off the coast of North Africa have been brought ashore.

The aid group Doctors Without Borders said one of its ships had recovered the bodies of 11 migrants trying to reach Italy from Libya. The central Mediterranean route, as it’s called, has been called the world’s most dangerous crossing. More than 3,000 people died or went missing on this route last year.
