Hamas says it has submitted its response to a US-backed plan for a ceasefire in Gaza.
In a statement, the group stressed its "positivity" in negotiations to reach a deal.

The proposed plan – which has been endorsed by the UN security council – calls for a six-week ceasefire that would eventually become permanent.
