FRANCE 24 journalist Andrew Hilliar reports from Tehran, Iran, where people are headed to the polls to vote in a snap election to elect a new president after president Ebrahim Raisi was killed in a helicopter crash last month.
"Many people we’ve been speaking to here, particularly young people, say they don’t think they’ll vote today, simply because they’re worried their vote won’t make a difference," he said. "On the other hand, we’ve spoken to people who say they think it’s a civic duty to vote, that voting strengthens Iran – and strengthen’s Iran’s image abroad as well."
