France is in a "battle for the survival of republican values" after far-right National Rally won the first round of legislative elections, Renew Europe MEP Sandro Gozi told FRANCE 24. "We, the republicans from left, the centre and the right, must win," Gozi said, adding that the far right must be defeated in the second round scheduled July 7.
