Nigel Farage says his Reform UK party will fill the "gap" in the centre-right of British politics.
Mr Farage took the seaside town of Clacton, becoming an MP at the eighth time of asking.
He predicted Labour would be "in trouble within weeks".
"We’re coming for Labour, be in no doubt about that… this is just the first step of something that is going to stun all of you," he said.
