Israel says it’s investigating what happened in an IDF airstrike in the Gaza Strip that Palestinians say hit displaced civilians, killing at least 25 people.
The dead included families living in tents outside the UN-run school in the town of Abassan near Khan Younis. Israel has stepped up its bombardments of Hamas militants, who have been regrouping in Gaza. Local health authorities say more than 38,000 people have been killed since the war began after Hamas carried out the October 7 terror attacks.
