NATO says Ukraine is on an ‘irreversible’ path to membership.
At the alliance’s 75th anniversary summit in Washington, member states also pledged 40 billion euros inaid to Kyiv next year. And some recent deliveries to Ukraine appear to be making a difference on the battlefield.
Following Russia’s spring offensive against Ukraine’s second city Kharkiv, NATO partners gave Kyiv the green light to use their weapons to target Russian territory. That has helped to stall the Russian advance.
