A lorry driver was recorded using a makeshift whip to beat Eritrean migrants, mostly women, who were in the back of his lorry at the Italy-France border.
The incident was filmed by a passing motorist in the town of Ventimiglia in Liguria, northern Italy, and has caused outrage in the country.
