Israel has carried out an air strike in south Beirut targeting a senior Hezbollah commander. At least four people were killed, including the group’s top military leader, Fuad Shukr. Israel said the strike was in retaliation for the killing of 12 teenagers in a rocket attack on Majdal Shams in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights at the weekend, in which Hezbollah has denied involvement. Randolph Nogel reports from south Beirut.
