A judge made the ‘exceptional’ decision to name the 17-year-old suspect charged with the murder of three girls in Southport in an attempt to prevent further misinformation spreading online.
Axel Rudakubana was named as the teenager charged with the murder of three children in Monday’s stabbing attack.
But police are concerned that there will be further protests over the weekend.
The Muslim Council of Britain is urging mosques to strengthen security ahead of Friday prayers due to the increase in ‘far-right thugs’ since the stabbings in Southport.
