Former Foreign Secretary, Sir Malcolm Rifkind, has told Sky News he is "not optimistic" about a ceasefire deal between Israel and Gaza.
He also covered other topics, such as overcrowding in prisons, and said that "the immediate priority is that rioters are punished" and not relieved because there aren’t enough cells to hold them in.
Sir Rifkind also said that Conservatives "made a fool of themselves" in recent years, with "internal division and ructions within the party."
