Hundreds of thousands of teenagers have received their GCSE results with a slight drop in the proportion of top grades awarded from last year.
However, deputy chief regulator at Ofqual, Michael Hanton, told Sky News this year’s results show "a lot of stability" with the second year of marks returning to normal in England following the pandemic.
