The first aid trucks prepared by the United Nations World Food Programme crossed the Adre border from Chad on August 20, after a six-month closure due to the civil war in Sudan’s West Darfur. A WFP spokesperson said the Adre border is the ”easiest and the fastest” way to get humanitarian aid into Darfur.
