Street Child, a children’s charity that aims "to see all children safe, in school and learning", has launched its back to school campaign.
Charity patron Nick Hewer told Sky News that a donation of "£1 a week will give an education to a child".
"The child born of an uneducated, illiterate woman is unlikely to reach the age of five," he told Sky’s Kay Burley.
