A drenched Jack Draper saw his US Open final dream disappear with the contents of his stomach as he lost in hot and humid conditions against world no 1 Jannik Sinner.
The Briton vomited several times on court, losing his first grand slam semi-final 7-5, 7-5, 6-2 at Flushing Meadows in New York.
The 22-year-old was carrying the torch of British tennis after the retirement of Andy Murray.
And he proved he’s got what it takes to make it to the top, getting to the semis without dropping a set.
But as has happened several times in his career, his physical conditioning became an issue as the match moved towards the end of the crucial second set.
