Two years after Mahsa Amini: ‘Only path to freedom is justice by truth’, says Iranian journalist

The situation in Iran for women has barely improved since Mahsa Amini’s death in custody two years ago which sparked mass protests challenging the Islamic Republic’s strict rules for women. “The violence against women and against society continue,” Iran Wire senior journalist Aida Ghajar told FRANCE 24. Based in Paris, Ghajar continues to speak out for women’s rights in Iran through her publication, pointing out that the “only path to freedom is justice by truth”.
