Huw Edwards was the BBC’s highest paid newsreader and one of the broadcaster’s most recognisable faces as he fronted major national events, including announcing the death of the Queen to the nation in 2022.
But his dramatic fall from grace began last July when a newspaper published a bombshell story about an unnamed BBC presenter accused of paying a young person for photographs.
Huw Edwards today faces sentencing over dozens of indecent images of children as young as seven. They were sent to him on WhatsApp between December 2020 and August 2021.
