One man living in a rat-infested house says the riot was "deserved", citing his belief that migrants get priority over British people for housing and healthcare.

Home secretary Yvette Cooper MP, said "There is no place for such appalling, senseless violence on our streets, and this government is determined to stamp out the scourge of serious violence wherever it is found."
