The Israeli military’s strikes into southern Lebanon this weekend mark some of the heaviest bombardment in 11 months of fighting. As the cross-border exchanges intensify, so do growing fears of all-out war. On Friday, an Israeli airstrike targeting Hezbollah commanders killed 45 people in a suburb of Beirut. On Sunday, heavy damages were reported and three wounded in the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Bialik, one of several civilian sites where Hezbollah rockets hit.
