Hamas has praised Iran’s missile attack on Israel, according to the Reuters news agency.
The group has claimed in a statement that the attack, during which nearly 200 missiles were reportedly fired at Israel, was launched to avenge the deaths of three people killed in recent Israeli strikes.
Security and defence analyst Professor Michael Clarke discusses what the ramifications of the attack could be – including a potential "spike in terroristic activities" in the region.
