The Lebanese capital has been hit by new Israeli airstrikes. Southern Beirut has come under increasing bombardment in the last 24 hours, as Israel steps up its campaign against Hezbollah militants. Lebanon’s health minister says that in the past two weeks, these attacks have killed more than 1,000 people.
