Across the United States, people turned out to commemorate the October 7th attacks, praying, mourning and rallying in their communities. The anniversary is taking place amid political tensions in the US, where citizens remain divided over Israel’s conduct of the war.
At New York’s Columbia University, thousands of Pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian protesters marched. The campus was the site of mass protests against the Israel-Hamas war earlier this year and touched off a wave of college demonstrations across the US.
