A live view of Beirut’s skyline after the commander of Hezbollah’s headquarters was killed in a strike on Beirut, the Israeli military has claimed.
The Israel Defence Forces said Suhail Hussein Husseini was in charge of the militant group’s sector that oversees logistics, budgeting and management of its various units.
It claimed Husseini played a "crucial role" in weapon transfers between Iran and Hezbollah and was responsible for "distributing the advanced weaponry among Hezbollah’s units".
"Additionally, he was a member of the Jihad council, Hezbollah’s senior military leadership council," it said.
It also said Husseini was responsible for the "budgeting and logistical management of Hezbollah’s most sensitive projects", including "special operations, such as coordinating terrorist attacks against the State of Israel from Lebanon and Syria".
