As the war continues to widen in Lebanon, it’s estimated that 1.2 million people have already been displaced from their homes. The risk of a humanitarian crisis is real as people continue to be forced to flee, notably from the south of the country. Many are now left living on the streets of Beirut, which has itself also become unsafe amid Israeli bombardment. We spoke to Maya Ibrahimchach, the president of the charity Beit el Baraka in Beirut, and as well the director of program quality for CARE Lebanon, Maya Andari.
