US president Joe Biden has said, "there has been irresponsible promotion of disinformation and outright lies that are disturbing people" regarding Hurricane Milton, the "unsurvivable" storm currently approaching Florida.
He listed untrue claims of peoples’ property being confiscated, those impacted only receiving $750 in cash, money for the crisis being diverted to migrants and that the US government is controlling the weather.
"It’s getting beyond ridiculous," he said.
