Traces of pesticides, some of which were banned decades ago, have been found in the hair and urine of dozens of children living near the Aunis plain, an agricultural area located in western France. The findings were showcased by a citizen-led initiative after a local hospital sounded the alarm over a spike in the number of pediatric cancers. FRANCE 24’s Julia Sieger tells us more.
