It comes as US secretary of state Antony Blinken has landed in Saudi Arabia for talks with the country’s foreign minister.
The diplomat was greeted by the US ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Michael Ratney, before meeting Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud in Riyadh, the capital.
This is Mr Blinken’s 11th trip to the Middle East since the war between Israel and Hamas broke out last October.
