All around the US capital, business storefronts and official federal buildings alike are setting up large barricades to prepare for the aftermath of Tuesday’s presidential vote.
After the events of January 6, many in Washington, DC, fear a new insurrection, especially given the incredibly close race this election will be and the misinformation circulating online this campaign season.
According to Politico, some Washingtonians have made plans to leave or have already left the DC area in advance of the elections on November 5. They fear chaos, turmoil, and civil unrest.
