Group of Jewish anti-Zionist activists gather in Baltimore, Maryland to demand an immediate US weapon embargo on Israel.
More than a hundred protesters from the local chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace hold a vigil for the Children’s Day of Action for Palestine, commemorating one year since a group of children gave a press conference outside of the Al Shifa hospital in Gaza to beg for safety.
“Caring for and mourning the dead are sacred practices in Judaism. It is important that as Jews, we remain vocal about the collective grief of witnessing a genocide, while doing what we can to put an end to any more death,” Jo Feldman, one of the protesters said in the press release and footage shared with TRT World.
The group called on Senator Chris Van Hollen’s office to support the “Joint Resolutions of Disapproval” resolution introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders last September to prohibit the sales of “certain defense articles and services” to Israel. The Senate is expected to vote on the bill this month.
