FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell addressed allegations concerning the agency’s response to Hurricane Milton. Key points from the discussion include:
- Admission of Skipped Homes: Criswell acknowledged that FEMA personnel bypassed approximately 20 homes displaying Trump signs during relief efforts.
- Attribution to a Rogue Employee: She attributed this action to a single employee, Marn’i Washington, who instructed teams to avoid these residences. New York Post
- Employee Termination: Following the incident, Washington was terminated from her position at FEMA.
- Denial of Systemic Bias: Criswell emphasized that this behavior does not reflect FEMA’s culture or policies, asserting that the agency serves all individuals regardless of political affiliation.
- Support for Investigation: She expressed support for an investigation into the matter to ensure accountability and prevent future occurrences. AP News
- Congressional Concerns: Lawmakers, particularly Republicans, voiced concerns over potential political bias within FEMA and called for comprehensive investigations.
- Impact on Disaster Relief Funding: The controversy emerged as President Biden requested nearly $100 billion in emergency disaster aid, including significant funds for FEMA.
- Commitment to Unbiased Assistance: Criswell reiterated FEMA’s commitment to providing aid impartially and ensuring that all affected individuals receive appropriate assistance.
- Challenges of Misinformation: She acknowledged the challenges posed by misinformation and emphasized the importance of transparency in FEMA’s operations.
- Ongoing Oversight: The House Oversight Committee continues to monitor the situation, seeking to uphold the integrity of federal disaster response efforts.
More that FEMA is doing as a now Woke Leftist organization
Every American should be aware of this Oversight Committee reveals FEMA is giving illegal migrants over $10,000 dollars while offering Hurricane Victims $750 “I was able to get to a figure in excess of $10,000 for an individual — That as a citizen of a foreign country, how would I explain to a taxpayer, that a taxpayer, a citizen of the United States, is eligible for $750, yet citizen of a foreign country under your agency is still eligible for assistance of $10,000. How would I explain that to somebody?” “I’m really struggling with as I understand is that in North Carolina, for example, where I visited, you can have a flood or disaster victim that could get a check for $750.
Yet when I go through and I look at the programs and resources that are available to a citizen of a different country that came illegally into the United States, under the FEMA administrative program using nonprofits, you could be eligible for housing, for food, for transportation, for health care costs, and others. I was able to come looking at the very documents that these nonprofits were using.” Illegals are also getting: “A citizen of a foreign country that broke the law and came here legally is is they can get a plane ticket paid for. They can get a hotel room paid for. I think $200 and something bucks a night — health care, food, clothing” Says it’s “ridiculous” because many Hurricane Victims even weeks after didn’t get that

BATON ROUGE — Congressman Garret Graves addressed claims that the Biden administration diverted Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, funds to migrants instead of allocating them to hurricane-stricken areas, including Louisiana. Prominent Republicans, including former President Donald Trump and Texas Governor Greg Abbott, have criticized Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ warning that there isn’t enough money for FEMA to “make it through the remainder of hurricane season.” The warning came after Hurricane Francine impacted Louisiana, Hurricane Helene ravaged several southeastern states, killing more than 250 people, and just before Hurricane Milton hit Florida.
Mayorkas did not specify how much additional funding FEMA might need, but his reference to a funding shortfall has drawn criticism, particularly as at least $640 million in FEMA funds have been allocated toward assisting migrants who have crossed into the United States illegally. “FEMA has spent more than $1 billion resettling illegal aliens in America over the last two years,” Trump’s campaign posted on X. “Meanwhile, the agency is running out of money to respond to Hurricane Helene, which has left entire communities devastated. This is a scandal that should end Kamala Harris’ political career.”
- FEMA needs to be dismantled. They do not serve the American people. They are a dirty nefarious organization bilking taxpaying Americans and destroying their lives at the direction of the current administration.
- I watch my grown married children struggling to get by in this economy and take care of their own babies. The hurricane victims trying to piece their lives back together and I’m beyond angry. How dare they treat us this way. How dare they.
