US President Joe Biden announces that a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon has been reached and will take effect at 4 am local time on November 27, adding that the agreement is "designed to be a permanent cessation of hostilities"
The deal, according to Biden, enacts a 60 day period wherein Israel will be required to "gradually" withdraw its troops along the southern Lebanese border.
The Lebanese army will deploy its forces to those areas within the same span of time.
Biden lauds that "civilians on both sides will soon be able to safely return to their communities."
